A while back I had a requirement of having to local server run in Ubuntu server. We had an application running as a daemon and needed a web dashboard to monitor and interact with it. The code was to be given to the customer support team who complained that they had to install the Ubuntu server in multiple client locations and then install all the dependencies, then install our packages. They asked me to make a custom Ubuntu server with all the requirements so that once they installed the OS, everything will work out of the box.
